Cindy Canzoneri and her sweet boss, Jetset Romeo.

You will feel like a Beverly Hills insider as you follow Cindy Canzoneri on her rounds of Beverly Hills social and art events. She is often accompanied by an adorable four pound ball of fluff and love known as Jetset Romeo, the Maltese she affectionately calls her boss! If you are looking for more than egocentric selfies, or seeking content on subjects such as the intersection of fashion and art or stylish living you will love her chic lifestyle blog, ‎pickyandpushy.com.  As a Patron of the Arts, she and her husband Tony have created a collection of Light and Space Art featuring works by artists including Larry Bell, Sam Francis, Peter Alexander, Mary Corse, Gisela Colon, Ed Moses, and even David Hockney, a former neighbor. Cindy and Tony have donated pieces of the collection to The Los Angeles County Museum, MOCA, and The Palm Springs Museum of Art.

Though widely known as a dedicated Chanel addict, eight pieces of avant garde clothing from Cindy’s personal wardrobe by designers such as Issey Miyake and Moschino are also in the permanent collection of LACMA and were exhibited in an exhibition called “Breaking the Mode” which traveled to museums across the United States and went on to open at The Palazzo Strossi in Florence, Italy in an exhibition called “Contro Moda”. Thomas Fuller said, “Good clothes open all doors.”, and they certainly worked their magic for Cindy. Her interest in fashion led her to join the LACMA Costume Council. She eventually became Chairman of the important 60 year old socio-cultural institution. As Chair she organized lectures and special events with important designers, curators, authors, stylists, film makers and fashion photographers such as Paloma Picasso, Rachel Zoe, Hamish Bowles, Olivier Theiskens and Grace Coddington. Cindy has been invited to the Paris collections and visited many haute couture salons including Chanel, Christian Dior and Schaparelli. She is planning to write upcoming posts about these visits. Cindy’s knowledge of vintage couture led to an invitation to plan and personally guide a three day vintage tour of Los Angeles for John Galliano, then the designer for Dior, which inspired one of his subsequent Dior collections.

Cindy has her pulse on all areas of design, the LA lifestyle, and as a veteran of many round the world trips, luxury travel. Her Malibu home was featured in Architectural Digest in November 2003. It is continually refreshed and updated.  It  functions as her personal life style lab and incorporates all her interests from her fashion library, to photography, gardening and entertaining. In the blog, Cindy shares tips for entertaining, shows how she makes her massive floral arrangements, and edits her blog in her new dream kitchen overlooking the Pacific Ocean. She even writes fashion haikus which you can see on the blog!

And of course, because we are talking LA lifestyle, there has to be a movie angle. Cindy and Tony are currently producing a film, “The Last Prince”, based on a book called That Summer in Sicily, by Marlena De Blasi. They are expecting the film to be made next year. Tune into pickyandpushy.com to find out why this blog is called Picky and Pushy and discover for yourself that it is much sweeter and so much more fun  than it name suggests!
