Opening night of the Los Angeles Opera is a fabulous  opportunity to get dressed up, especially if you will be attending the dinner before  and festivities afterward.  For this evening I wore  a long black Miyake gown, with (from left to right ) a Cartier diamond Myst ring, Stuart Weitzman sling backs with pave heels, my Judith Leiber “Hollywood”  minaudière,   diamond hoop earrings and an art deco bracelet.  While this is appropriate attire for the opening night, Do  Not get this dressed up  for a regular performance!    For a regular performance, a nice dress or the kind of outfit you would wear to dinner would be appropriate.
