Chanel Cuba Party at Chateau Marmont

On Wednesday morning my horoscope encouraged me to simply enjoy life's little perks. And just like that, presto sesame, up popped a fabulous perk when Chanel hosted a super glam party at the Chateau Marmont  showcasing the Chanel Cuba Resort Collection.  It was hot weather for October in LA at 84 degrees at night!   But it was perfect for the theme. Ace Gallery Dinner for Ruth Pastine and Gary Lang

Last Thursday night we attended an incredible dinner in honor of Ruth Pastine and Gary Lang at Ace Gallery Beverly Hills.  Gary is probably best known for his amazingly colored concentric circles.  This exhibition features his recent work, such as "Rising", the 24 piece panel at the end of the room and the faceted paintings on the left gallery wall. New Members Luncheon at The Friends of Virginia Robinson Gardens

            I had so much fun attending The Friends of Virginia Robinson Gardens New Member Luncheon last Friday. Actually I joined last year but late in the season  so I missed this important introduction.   I am so happy to be involved in this group! At Pucci, Everything That Goes Around Comes Around Again

Pucci 1969-70 It is fun to compare the designs of Emilio Pucci to the current Pucci  designer, Massimo Giorgetti.  To the left is a piece from 1969-70 designed by Emilio Pucci, which I donated to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.  Everything about it dates it to the late 60's,  the pattern and especially the color scheme, although it definitely doesn't look out of date.  To the right is a piece designed by Giorgetti  (born in 1977)...
