On Wednesday morning my horoscope encouraged me to simply enjoy life’s little perks. And just like that, presto sesame, up popped a fabulous perk when Chanel hosted a super glam party at the Chateau Marmont  showcasing the Chanel Cuba Resort Collection.  It was hot weather for October in LA at 84 degrees at night!   But it was perfect for the theme. Exotic palm trees, a Cuban band around the pool, mojitos, champagne, and Cuban croquettes created an escape to Havana via Hollywood! Chanel Girls, dressed to the hilt, swarmed  the collection, putting their names on their Must Have pieces.  It was fun to see how differently people wear and style their Chanels.  I saw Chanel outfits from many seasons.  It was a wonderful night to catch up with old friends and make a few new ones as well.

 

 

After the party we headed over to The Beverly Hills Hotel for a  late night bite at The Polo Lounge.  Since it was late and we thought everyone would be at home watching the Post Presidential Debate analysis, we just cruised in without reservations, not expecting it to be crowded.  Boy, were we ever wrong! The Polo Lounge was jam packed and rocking! We were lucky to get a table!

Because Tony had gone ahead of me to arrange for a table, when I first entered The Polo Lounge, I couldn’t find him.  But while I was searching for him, my Facebook friend,who was in town from Germany and had decided himself to just pop into The Polo Lounge, spotted me across the crowded room. We were so happy he was free to join us! It was a complete surprise!  And one that would have been difficult to plan.  Can you imagine how many emails would have been  sent back in forth looking for a time and place that would work for both of us?  I love to see Facebook Friends in Real Life. When I see Facebook friends unexpectedly, it feels like they just walked out of a photograph.
