Karl Lagerfeld Paris, It’s Love at First Sight!

Hip hip hooray for Karl Lagerfeld and his fantastic line, Karl Lagerfeld Paris.  He has successfully democratized fashion by creating a chic and stylish line any girl can afford!  As you all know by now, I am a total Chanel Girl, having worn it consistently since the first year Karl started designing for Chanel. I got my first Chanel outfit for Christmas in 1983.  And I have to say, I am totally impressed with this collection!

A few weeks ago I was just happily killing time waiting for my husband who was in a meeting. I was at the Saks Off 5th store at the Camarillo Outlet Mall.  I was just walking around when I saw the racks of Karl Lagerfeld Paris.  I thought wow, these styles look so Chanel, the style, the tweed fabric, the fringe.  Everything except the price tag!    I grabbed few pieces to try on and headed for the dressing room.

Look at this great tweed! It even has a small line of silver metallic thread. And look at the beautiful fringe!

They did not have the dress I wanted in the store in my size so I ordered it online.  It arrived a few days later, without a wrinkle!  I couldn’t wait to wear it.  So I wore it a few days ago to a luncheon honoring Jenji Kohan (the creator of Weeds and Orange is the New Black) at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills.

Of course, accessories are everything in pulling a look together. These are all Chanel, but you can find similar pieces on line. Or just wear it with as many strands of pearls as your neck can hold up!

Best of all, was the price!   Just guess what this dress cost.  Are you sitting down?  $74.99!  It just goes to show that you don’t have to have a ton of money to be well dressed.  You just need to know what to look for and where to shop!  Honestly, I loved wearing this dress.  It didn’t even wrinkle in the car!

I couldn’t help myself, I had to get another one.  I found it online at Lord & Taylor.  You had better get on line right now! Biggest thanks to Karl Lagerfeld for democratizing fashion in the nicest way!

XO,
