The leg lengthening allure of Coco Chanel’s cap toe shoes is as popular today as in the 60’s! Although we have a choice of color combinations today, the original idea was that you could have one pair of shoes that would go with everything. Keep that in mind when you are packing for a trip! The basic tan and black goes great with black, tan, white, or almost any color, and work for daytime or evening except for very formal occasions.
Ok, I have finally assembled my Fall 2016 shoe collection. Now, I am ready to go somewhere! You can see, they are all similar but different. All have cap toes, all are Chanel except for two pair that are J. Crew! See if you can tell which are which! Close ups of a few of my favorites are below.
I love, love love these!. If you see shoes you love in the catalogue or in video from the runway, you have to call and order them right away!
Love these low heels! I could walk all over Paris or LA in these chic babies!
These suede and grosgrain cap toed boots were made for walking! I knew I had to have them the moment I saw them in the Chanel Fall catalogue!
Be a girl on the go, like Coco Chanel! These shoes are for real Chanel addicts. It is fun to go back into the Chanel archives and see models wearing shoes with this heel in the late 60’s and early 70’s. On the day I met my husband, I was wearing sling back heels similar to these, so I was thrilled to see them on the runway again this year! I love them because I can really walk in them. No need to hold onto someone when you walk across a slippery marble floor!
